    OBS 7.3 Powerstroke Stage 1.5 Performance Injectors

    The difference in the stage 1.5 is the 30% over larger nozzles.

    The 30% nozzle allows more fuel to exit the injector quicker into the combustion cycle which increases horsepower even further. The injector has a limited time to inject fuel into the cylinder for the combustion cycle. We measure this time in milliseconds. With a larger nozzle we can inject more fuel per millisecond into the cylinder for combustion, which creates more power. The downside to a larger nozzle is the extra fuel creates more heat and black smoke. So the larger the nozzle the more EGT's are created and the need for more air upgrades are needed.

    The injectors in the 94-97 Powerstroke will increase horsepower from 105-155 hp to the rear wheels with a custom tuned performance chip. The stock AA injectors for the 94-97 OBS Powerstroke flow approximately 90cc of fuel. The stage 1.5 injectors can double your fuel flow reaching up to 180cc. The gain in power in substantial with the stage 1.5 injectors over the stock injectors. Stock AA injectors are limited by fuel delivery and even with performance tuning only about 235 hp total is the limit of the gains. With the extra fuel of the stage 1.5 injectors the increases can be up to 380hp total horsepower. 

    In the 94-97 OBS we recommend choosing the 160cc injectors if you have a stock turbo and stock intercooler. With the addition of the OBS 66mm turbo upgrade or intercooler we suggest the 180cc option. Each injector comes with a new nozzle, new *Tungsten coated plunger and barrel assembly, new springs, and as needed more internal wear parts are replaced if needed. Flow tested and matched down to a 1% variation at idle and wide open flow. New internal and external O-rings are installed.

    Please note- a custom tuned chip is required to make these injectors work properly in your truck. We recommend installing new glow plugs when installing injectors. Theses are easy to change at the same time as the injectors. However valve covers are reusable and should be fine unless the harness is damaged. Shipping charges include a return label for your cores if you have not selected to send in cores first. If you have selected to send in cores first before your product ships it is the customers responsibility to ship cores in.We do not charge any other fees to repair your core injectors. 

    Please note some of the other companies charge for bad parts on top of the advertised price and do not use new plungers and barrels or nozzles in their injectors. Injectors that have ran vegetable oil leave a damaging coating and will not be accepted as cores.

    180cc vs 160cc:
    180cc is the best choice for most OBS trucks. The only time we recommend the 160cc injectors is in high altitude locations or for the customer that don't want a large power increase. The only benefit of the 160cc is the a completely stock OBS truck will see large gains without needed (recommended) exhaust or intake modifications. The stock injectors have an effective flow rate of 90cc.

    Tuning Information: New Full Force Low Smoke Tuning. We now offer low smoke *Clean tuning. In a time when clean tuning is more desired we've step up to the plate. The days of "Clouds of Black Smoke" are behind us. We have partnered with a very reputable tuning company for the lowest/minimal smoke with modified injectors while maintaining optimal power output. Normal driving will yield very low smoke levels and very good power. Foot to the floor will make moderate smoke on the highest setting. Results of this custom tuning typically results in very good smoke control but smoke may vary. Tunes included are hi-idle, heavy tow, tow, street, hot street, and extreme. During the order process please indicate any further tune request you may need. HPOP, Transmission, etc. They will be custom written for each truck.

    Custom tuned chip: If you don't have a tuner or a chip currently please select a TS chip or Hydra chip. This has to be done to convert the computer to a single shot fuel injector program. Hydra email tunes is just that we encrypt the tunes and email them to you to self install. Email tunes Hydra Low Smoke is the custom tuning for minimal smoke also emailed to you.

    If you want to get rid of the stock OBS shaking in the cab then it�s time to upgrade the injectors. I got 160cc injectors and the upgraded turbo and wow what a difference in performance it makes. It�s not a slug anymore! Worth every dime. Can�t thank full force diesel for the outstanding customer support!

    I selected the 1.5 injectors with the stage 2 KC turbo and hydra tuner with jelibuilt tunes and holy crap does it wake up the truck. Before the truck struggled getting up to speed on highways and seemed like when I was pulling a trailer it just was doing everything it could to pull it. Now its insane power and very smooth shifts. I have not installed the intercooler yet, i have it just ran out of time over the weekend to put it on but even without the intercooler my EGT's are 300-400 degrees cooler than before. Highly recommend for those who don't want to buy a new truck but just bump the power up of the OBS.

    Install had its ups and downs but in the end got it all put together and it blew me away with the difference. Would recommend to anyone who has the stock obs 90cc injectors
