The main modification for both injectors is inside the injector on the intensifier piston. This piston is a mechanical limiter, it's modified or shortened which allows the plunger stroke to move slightly farther so more fuel is pushed through the nozzle during each injection cycle. Each injector is also converted over from split shot to the more efficient and powerful single shot design. The split shot system includes a wasted pilot injection originally designed to make the engine quieter during idle.

Here's what make the stage 2 a higher horsepower injector over the stage 1 and 1.5. The nozzle size is larger. These injectors have a nozzle size of your choosing from 80 percent larger than stock to 100 percent larger than stock. The larger nozzle moves the total available fuel (180cc) quicker into the cylinder for a larger (more powerful) explosion. The quicker the fuel empties from the injector into the cylinder the larger more precise the explosion and more power is achieved. So understanding this you can choose the larger more powerful 100 or the smaller 80 percent nozzle to reduce smoke and EGT levels slightly.

The stage 2 makes more power but keeps the total CC volume lower over their hybrid cousins. You can make performance oriented power with a same stage 1 total flow rate of 180cc. More power with decent fuel economy is a win-win right? Sort of...

With the larger nozzle come more smoke. Although you empty the injector quickly you also provide the truck with a little too much fuel to burn completely in a stock truck. The by product is excess black smoke and higher exhaust gas temperature from that unburned fuel. The majority of this smoke comes on the low end of the throttle when the turbo hasn't built enough pressure to utilize the fuel. Most refer to this condition as lugging the engine. This isn't harmful to the engine or turbo but that's when you get the cloud of smoke when you're taking off.

The good news, more of that fuel can be burned or cleaned up with a few more upgrades like a cold air intake and a larger turbo. Also custom tuning is highly recommended to keep the smoke and EGT's lower. Custom tuning are specifically written to make the max power available but only inject as much fuel as the truck can consume. The fuel injection is matched with the turbo boost production, giving a very effective balance between power and a clean exhaust. Very street friendly tunes for the injectors and also custom programmed for any other truck modifications you may have.

    Stage 2 Injectors Summary
    • Great balance between a towing injector and performance injector
    • Choice of nozzle size to fine tune your needs
    • Fuel economy doesn't suffer (depends of course on your right foot)
    • A custom tuned Hydra chip is required to run these injectors because we convert them to single shot.
    • Extra modifications for air is required
Warranty: Full Force Diesel Injectors include a 18 Month Unlimited Mileage Warranty!

We do not charge any other fees to repair your core injectors. Please note some of the other companies charge for bad parts on top of the advertised price and do not use new plungers and barrels or nozzles in their injectors. Injectors that have ran vegetable oil leave a damaging coating and will not be accepted as cores. New nozzles, plunger and barrels, and other new internals in every Full Force Diesel injector. Flow matched and ready to install when you receive them.

    Frequently Asked Questions:
Custom tuned chip: If you don't have a tuner or a chip currently please see options above. This has to be done to convert the computer to a single shot fuel injector program. All tunes still add the appropriate power.

Core charge: Every injector set requires a core charge. Please select add core to send your injectors now and refund the money later. Best way to not have down time with your truck or sending in first for us to wait and send your order when we get yours ready(see lead time above) to avoid paying the charge.

Q Chance • 02/18/2025, 2:13:48 AM Do the stage 2s come with a hydra chip or just the tunes for a hydra
A 02/24/2025, 4:07:18 PM Tunes and the Hydra chip are sold seperately.
Q Jonathan LaBarbera • 03/01/2025, 7:11:54 AM Is a new “stock” hpop okay for these? Recently replaced with a stock hpop, holds 2900 psi of oil constant
A 03/04/2025, 3:52:43 PM It's on the edge. We suggest going to the stage 1.5's or the stage 2 with the 80% nozzles.
Q James • 04/12/2025, 7:07:47 AM I have a 97f250 good hpop (stock) cold air intake and intercooler spit between 1.5 or stage 2 witch injectors do you think will work better I don't mind the black smoke. Do I have to have a tuner to run the stage 2 or will it be ok with out one for awhile
A 04/23/2025, 7:09:51 PM Stage 1.5 is best for you. You can go without a tuner for a while but you'll notice minimal power difference.

I purchased a set of F.F. 180/100's from a man who bought them but threw a rod before they were delivered so I got them for $1000. Paired it with a GTP38R "from a shop who purchased it new but the customer never paid so I got that new for $1000. Purchased a CNC FAB stage 2 HPOP, open element Donaldson filter , Hydra with custom gearhead tunes. I don't tow heavy with my truck so I've never tested my egt's towing. But I can tell you this my truck does not smoke anymore than it did with stock injectors" except for a split second if I'm in a hot tune in overdrive at about 60 mph and I punch the pedal to the floor. I can maintain "in gear" in street performance tune at minimum 3200 ICP and that 3200 ICP is the lowest it falls. Besides the noise from the single shot injectors " which is so so much louder than split shots" I like the injectors. Testing compared 180/80's vs. 205/30 and the hybrid power came on a little sooner but the 180/80 power kept climbing after the hybrid stopped. Im definitely not saying I'd pick 180/100's over a comparable hybrid but I've personally seen trucks set up right with 180/100's make 440 HP. If you get a good tuner these injectors can run clean and idle good.
