The BD Diesel 1064744 TowMaster is a rebuilt Allison 1000 6-speed automatic for 2007.5-2010 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD 4WD trucks with the 6.6L LMM Duramax. The factory Allison is built for stock power, so added fuel and heavy trailers lead to slipping, heat and burned clutches. This transmission adds clutch capacity and line pressure so it holds that load day after day.
BD adds clutch plates to every pack, installs high energy frictions, revises the oil circuits and fits new A and B trim valves so the clutches see full line pressure. A new converter lockup valve raises lockup pressure, and each unit is dyno tested before it ships with BD's deep aluminum pan.
