Stock 47RE units were not built for added fuel and heavy trailers, so soft shifts, burned clutches and heat-related wear become common once power and tow load climb.

BD revises the valve body for higher apply pressure, upgrades the governor pressure solenoid and transducer, replaces stock thrust washers with Torrington roller bearings, and strengthens the band lever and barrel strut with billet pieces. Each matched set is dyno tested and ships with a deep aluminum pan and an auxiliary full-flow filter kit. This SS TowMaster build uses the stock-style input shaft (not a billet input).
