The Racor PFP58752 Fuel Lift Pump is the genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement electric fuel pump cartridge engineered specifically for 2003–2007 Ford Super Duty trucks, Excursions, and 2004–2010 E-Series vans equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine. Manufactured directly by Parker Racor—the original design and tier-1 production supplier for Ford's Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module (HFCM)—this standalone pump motor installs directly inside your factory frame-rail HFCM housing. It restores steady, regulated 50–65 PSI fuel supply to protect sensitive HEUI injectors without requiring the purchase of a costly complete manifold assembly.

Problem Solved: Curing Pressure Drops, Hard Starts & Injector Starvation
On 6.0L Powerstroke HEUI engines, the fuel supply circuit serves as both the combustible fuel charge and the hydraulic cushion absorbing the stroke of the internal intensifier piston. When the factory HFCM pump motor wears out from high mileage, electrical fatigue, or sediment ingestion, rail pressure drops below the critical 45 PSI threshold under throttle. Sub-45 PSI pressure causes fuel aeration and cavitation, resulting in metal-on-metal impact inside the injectors, cracked tips, spool valve stiction, long crank times, and premature injector failure. Replacing the tired internal motor with the Racor PFP58752 cures pressure drop-offs and eliminates hard starts while saving hundreds of dollars compared to buying a complete Motorcraft HFCM housing.

Safety & Depressurization: Park on level ground, turn off the ignition, and disconnect both negative battery cables. Slowly loosen the secondary fuel filter cap (24mm socket) in the engine valley to bleed off residual line pressure. HFCM Draining & Removal: Place a drain pan directly beneath the frame-rail HFCM on the driver side. Open the water drain plug and remove the 36mm primary filter cap to empty all diesel fuel. Disconnect the electrical harnesses and the quick-connect fuel lines using a 3/8" disconnect tool. Unbolt the three 13mm bracket nuts and remove the HFCM to a clean workbench. Pump Cartridge Disassembly: Remove the HFCM manifold plate screws (T27 Torx or 8mm) to separate the cover. Slide the old internal electric pump motor out from the cast housing pocket. Disconnect the internal pump motor electrical terminal spade connectors. Cavity Cleaning & Seal Replacement: Thoroughly spray the internal pump bore and fuel passages with brake cleaner and wipe clean with lint-free towels. Lightly coat the new Racor fluorocarbon O-rings with clean diesel fuel or clean engine oil and seat them into their respective sealing grooves. New Pump Installation: Reconnect the internal electrical terminal leads securely onto the new Racor PFP58752 pump motor spades. Align and slide the new pump cartridge firmly into the housing pocket until fully seated against the internal seals. Housing Reassembly & Torque: Reinstall the manifold faceplate with its perimeter gasket. Tighten the faceplate Torx bolts in an alternating crisscross pattern to 45–55 in-lbs (5–6 Nm). Module Reinstallation: Reinstall the HFCM assembly onto the frame rail studs and torque the 13mm chassis nuts to 15–18 ft-lbs (20–24 Nm). Reconnect the fuel lines firmly until they click, engage the safety lock clips, and reconnect the wiring harness. Torque the primary filter cap to 19 ft-lbs (25 Nm). Priming & Verification: Reconnect battery terminals. Cycle the ignition key to the "RUN" position for 30 seconds without cranking to let the new pump prime and bleed air. Repeat 4 to 5 times. Inspect all housing seams and line connections for zero fuel leaks before starting the engine.
