The MAP Sensor on this truck is mounted to the back of the intake elbow, which you will be replacing with this Fleece Intake and Grid Heater Upgrade. While replacement of the MAP Sensor is not required during the installation of this product, soot buildup over time can affect sensor accuracy by interfering with the pressure and temperature readings. For this reason, many take the opportunity to inspect, clean, and replace the MAP Sensor if necessary.
