The BD 1030223 is a Proforce 6-stud torque converter for a 1995–2003 7.3 with an E4OD or a 4R100. It is the street and tow unit. A 4-stud converter is a different part.
The stator is cast aluminum, so it multiplies torque at a lower rpm than stock. The cover is stamp-forged steel. The fins are furnace-brazed. Lockup clutch material is up to three times the factory amount. A core charge applies. The warranty is 36 months or 150,000 miles on parts, and it does not cover race abuse. About 7 hours. The flex plate has to be the 6-stud pattern.

Count the studs on the converter you pull. A cracked flex plate should come out at the same time. The billet plate is 1041241.
