The Ford XC3Z-7A228-AA is the transmission dipstick tube for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 with a 4R100. It is for trucks built December 7, 1998 or later. It is the factory tube. The dipstick itself is F81Z-7A020-BA.
Use it when the tube is bent, rusted, or leaking at the case. It goes in the factory location on an F-Series. An E-Series uses a different tube. The ATS two-piece repair is 3142203104 if you want the O-ring base instead of the factory seal.
It fits 1999.5–2003 F-250 and F-350 trucks with a 4R100.
