DieselSite Wicked Wheel 2 (WW38) – Billet Compressor Wheel for 1994-2003 7.3L Powerstroke
Upgrade your stock GTP38 or TP38 turbo with the DieselSite Wicked Wheel 2 (WW38) and experience a noticeable improvement in response, boost, and drivability while eliminating compressor surge.
The second-generation Wicked Wheel features a precision-machined billet aluminum design with optimized blade geometry and pitch. Compared to the factory cast wheel, it is lighter for quicker spool-up and flows more air across the compressor map. The result is faster turbo response, higher top-end boost potential, reduced EGTs, lower smoke, and a more aggressive turbo sound—all while solving the surge issues that commonly plague modified or heavily loaded 7.3 Powerstrokes (especially under towing conditions).
Key Benefits
- Eliminates or dramatically reduces compressor surge
- Faster spool-up and improved throttle response
- Increased boost and airflow
- Lower EGTs and reduced smoke
- Drop-in replacement—no compressor housing modifications required
- Factory balanced (no turbo rebalancing needed after install)
Fitment
1994–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke with stock GTP38 or TP38 turbos.
Installation Notes
This is a standard right-hand thread wheel (turn left/counterclockwise to loosen). Simply snug the wheel until it fully seats—it will self-tighten under operation. No torque specification is required. Do not use an impact wrench when removing or installing compressor wheels, as this can create stress fractures in the shaft.
Important: While the Wicked Wheel 2 can support higher boost with supporting modifications, it is designed to remain safe on stock turbos. On 1999–2003 models, continue using a wastegate. For maximum turbo longevity, avoid sustained boost above ~32 psi.
A simple, proven upgrade that transforms the way your stock 7.3 turbo performs and sounds.
