Restore proper injection pressure and get your 6.0L running right.

The Alliant Power AP63417 Injection Pressure Regulator (IPR) Valve is a direct-fit replacement for 2004.5–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. It includes the edge filter used on later 6.0L engines and cross-references to Ford OE part number 5C3Z-9C968-CA and Motorcraft CM5126.

    What the IPR valve does.

The 6.0L Powerstroke uses high-pressure engine oil to fire its injectors. The IPR valve controls that oil pressure, called injection control pressure (ICP), based on commands from the engine computer. When the IPR valve wears or sticks, the injectors can't get the pressure they need, and drivability suffers quickly.

    From a trusted 6.0L supplier.

Alliant Power was established in 2002 through a partnership that made it the exclusive supplier of new OE HEUI injectors for Ford and Navistar diesel trucks. Today it's a trusted name in fuel injection systems and engine components for Powerstroke and Navistar diesel engines.

    Key Features

    • Direct-fit replacement IPR valve
    • Includes edge filter for later 6.0L applications
    • Controls injection control pressure for proper injector operation
    • Replaces Ford 5C3Z-9C968-CA, Motorcraft CM5126 and Navistar 1846057C1

    Fitment

    • 2005–2007 Ford F-Series Super Duty and Excursion 6.0L Powerstroke (including late 2004.5 builds)
    • 2004–2010 Ford E-Series 6.0L Powerstroke
    • 2006–2010 Ford 4.5L Powerstroke LCF
    • 2005–2007 Navistar VT365
    • 2006 Navistar VT275
    • 2007–2010 Navistar MaxxForce 5

Early 2003–2004 F-Series trucks use a different IPR valve. Check your existing valve or engine build date before ordering.

    What Problem Does This Solve?

    • Hard starts and no-starts. A failing IPR valve can prevent the high-pressure oil system from building enough pressure to fire the injectors, causing long cranking times or a no-start.
    • Stalling, surging and rough idle. When the IPR valve can't hold steady pressure, the engine may stall, surge or idle erratically.
    • Low power. Without proper injection control pressure, injectors can't deliver full fuel, leaving the truck sluggish and down on power.

    Installation Tip

Replace the IPR valve O-rings and seals during installation for a leak-free fit. Many 6.0L owners also check the high-pressure oil system for leaks, such as standpipes and dummy plugs, when diagnosing low ICP.
