Introducing the Atlas Two-Piece System, designed to maximize your engine's efficiency and performance. This innovative system effectively separates the cool air from the intercooler from the hot air exiting the turbo, thanks to a dedicated aluminum elbow for the hot air.

    Features:

Advanced Airflow Separation: The Atlas Two-Piece System isolates the extremely hot air from the turbo, directing it through a separate aluminum elbow. This prevents the hot air from mixing with the cool air from the intercooler, ensuring that only the coolest air reaches your engine.

Enhanced Airflow: Extensive flow testing has shown a significant increase in airflow through this unique two-piece design compared to the factory intake spider. This means your engine can breathe more freely, leading to better overall performance.

Lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs): By preventing hot air from mixing with the cool air, the Atlas Two-Piece System helps maintain lower EGTs. This contributes to better engine longevity and reliability.

Faster Turbo Spool-Up: The design of the Atlas Two-Piece System promotes faster turbo spool-up, reducing turbo lag and delivering quicker response times. Enjoy a more responsive and powerful driving experience.

Upgrade to the Atlas Two-Piece System today and unlock the full potential of your engine. With enhanced airflow, lower EGTs, and faster turbo spool-up, this system is the perfect solution for those seeking superior performance and reliability.

This intake manifold cannot be used with the original fuel bowl in 1994-1997 applications. Fuel bowl must be deleted.

Requires Early 1999 plenum style boots.

9 Questions asked on Early 1999 7.3L Powerstroke Intake Manifold Atlas 228-4090 •

Q Dan cox • 07/01/2026, 5:48:21 PM Will this work on my 97 F-250 with stock turbo
A 07/07/2026, 1:26:55 PM Stock turbo yes mechanical pump no
Q David Zimmerman • 07/28/2026, 1:38:17 AM Will this spider work with the riff raff plenums in the 3" configuration?
A 07/28/2026, 1:05:17 PM The outlets are 2.25". You'd need to source a transition boot. We do not sell one.
Q Nathan • 10/24/2026, 1:09:52 AM Just wanted to confirm that it has an AIH port to connect a boost gauge and the wastegate actuator?
A 10/27/2026, 8:49:59 PM The Early 1999 7.3L Powerstroke did not come equipped with an Air Intake Heater from the factory; the AIH was introduced later on the 1999.5–2003 models. Because of this, Early 99-specific manifolds like the Atlas 228-4090 do not feature an AIH port that can be swapped out for a tapped delete plug. To run a boost gauge and wastegate actuator with the Atlas two-piece system, the customer will need to drill and tap the aluminum elbow themselves, tap the compressor housing for the wastegate, or T-tap into the MAP sensor line to get a boost gauge reference. If you're are looking for a bolt-on solution with pre-drilled ports, you might point them toward the Dieselsite EIM73 Early 99 Intake Manifold instead. That unit comes pre-tapped with 1/8" NPT ports specifically for boost, MAP, and wastegate controllers
Q Jesse James • 10/28/2026, 1:50:12 PM Will this have the same size Intake plenum openings as the early 99 or will it have the 3 inch openings?
    A 10/28/2026, 1:55:59 PM Same size 2.5"
