The BD Diesel Up-Pipes Kit with EGR Connector replaces the factory exhaust up-pipes, which run from the exhaust manifolds to the turbo, on 2003–2004 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke trucks. The factory pipes are prone to leaking as they deteriorate. BD's design eliminates those leaks and maximizes turbo response, and it's 50-state legal with CARB EO D-553-34.

BD uses a ductile cast iron Y-pipe for a precise fit that eliminates the leaks and weld failures common with fabricated designs. The fully divided Y-pipe optimizes turbo spool, and its smoother internal geometry is designed to optimize exhaust flow.

The larger-diameter 304 stainless steel up-pipes use internally shielded stainless steel expansion bellows. The shielding protects the bellows from direct exhaust heat while keeping restriction to the turbo low.

What Problem Does This Solve?

• Leaking factory up-pipes. The original up-pipes deteriorate and leak over time, one of the most common 6.0L exhaust problems. BD's kit is a durable, longer-life replacement.
• Slow turbo response. Pre-turbo exhaust leaks rob the turbo of the energy it needs to build boost. Sealing them up restores quicker spool and stronger response.

Fitment

This kit fits 2003–early 2004 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engines and includes the EGR connector for that application. 2004.5–2007 engines use a different up-pipe and EGR configuration and require BD kit 1043918, so confirm your engine build date before ordering.
