The BD Diesel 1040022 Killer Frost Plug Plate seals the rear frost plug on 1989-2002 Dodge trucks with the mechanically injected 5.9L Cummins, 12 valve or 24 valve.

Coolant pressure can pass 70 psi before the thermostat opens, which pushes out or leaks a corroded rear plug. The plate seals with a #333 O-ring on the machined rear face, so the old plug can stay in.
