6.7 Cummins Killer Grid Heater Upgrade Kit | BD-Power 1041520

Fix the 6.7 Cummins grid-heater connection before a loose nut drops into the engine. BD-Power 1041520 replaces the factory stud and nut inside the intake with a self-locking lower busbar and an M8 bolt fastened from the top. The stock heater stays in place and still puts out full heat. About 200 amps used to run through that small internal fastener until it arced, melted, and fell into a cylinder. This kit removes that failure point. Emissions compliant in all 50 states.

    Key features

    • Eliminates the factory grid-heater stud and nut inside the intake
    • Self-locking threads in the lower busbar
    • Keeps full heat output from the stock intake grid heater
    • No tuning or calibration required
    • Will not set OBD codes P2609 or P0542
    • Tin-plated upper busbar and zinc-plated lower busbar
    • Includes hardware, gasket, and special tools
    • 50-state emissions compliant

    Fitment

    • 2007.5–2024 Ram 2500 / 3500 6.7L Cummins pickup

    • Other 6.7L ISB Cummins applications that use this grid heater

2007.5–2012 trucks need a small aluminum tab trimmed on the heater. See the BD install manual.

    • Lower grid-heater busbar
