Beans Diesel 210105 Billet Tappet Cover – 1989-2002 5.9L Cummins

Replace your leaking factory tappet cover with the Beans Diesel (Bean Machine) 210105 CNC-machined billet aluminum cover. Built for 1989–2002 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins engines (VE, P-Pump, and VP44), this upgrade delivers a leak-free seal, better oil control, and a clean, high-end look under the hood.

The cover uses a precision O-ring seal instead of silicone or the fragile OEM gasket, so it installs clean and stays sealed. An integrated internal baffle/filter plate keeps crankcase oil where it belongs and reduces CCV oil carry-over. Two -12 ORB ports on the baffle give you flexibility for venting or a catch-can setup.

No cutting or grinding is required for most applications. The kit includes stainless hardware and an ECM mount so later-model trucks have a proper place for the computer.

    Key Features

    • CNC-machined billet aluminum construction
    • Internal CCV baffle with two -12 ORB ports
    • O-ring seal for a reliable, leak-free install
    • Direct-fit for VE, VP44, and P-Pump 5.9 Cummins
    • Made in Tennessee, USA

    What’s Included

    • Billet tappet cover
    • CCV baffle/filter plate
    • O-rings
    • Stainless steel bolts
    • ECM mount kit

Fitment: 1989–2002 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins

Note: The CCV ports are -12 ORB. You will typically need a combination of plugs or -12 ORB-to-AN adapters (sold separately). On many engines built after 2000 that already have a front-cover crankcase vent, the tappet-cover ports can simply be plugged.

This is a popular, proven upgrade for owners who want to stop tappet-cover leaks once and for all while giving the engine a durable, show-quality appearance.

Super impressed with the mass this cover has. My factory cover was getting progressively worse about leaking, and decided I wasn't going back in later to do it again, so this was the best option. On a VP engine you will need to take about 1/3 off the rear support bracket for the VP. I cut mine so it's now only one bolt holding the bracket to pump, but saving both bolt holes from bracket to the block. That worked perfect for me. I've got 800 miles on it since install, and I'm still drip free. Well worth the money . If they'd only throw you a sticker in with it, but hey, that's trivial If you choose to plug the breather ports, I used -12 AN o-ring socket head plugs I got off Amazon.
