Its 46mm monotube, nitrogen-charged design uses a larger working piston than typical twin-tube shocks, so heat dissipates faster and damping stays consistent on long highway runs, through city potholes, and when the van is loaded. A velocity-sensitive digressive piston reacts to changing road inputs: firmer when you need control, more compliant over smaller imperfections.

This is the rear shock for Express and Savana 2500, 3500, and 4500 applications. It is widely specified for heavier-duty vans and chassis, including many vehicles over 7,300 lbs GVWR and Class C / cutaway configurations. It mounts in the factory locations with a bar-pin upper mount and 14.1 mm eye lower mount, uses your existing springs, and includes Bilstein’s blue straight dust boot plus the signature yellow finish.
