Unlike twin-tube stock shocks, the B8 5100 uses a large 46mm monotube gas-pressure body that sheds heat quickly and stays consistent under load. Bilstein’s velocity-sensitive digressive piston reacts immediately to changing road surfaces, so the rear axle stays planted instead of bouncing, wallowing, or fading on long grades.
