Give a lifted Ram 2500 the damping it needs when stock shocks run out of travel and heat capacity. The B8 5160 25-311907 is a bolt-on front shock built for 2"–2.5" lift kits. It pairs a 46mm monotube body with a remote reservoir so oil stays cooler, travel stays usable, and the ride stays planted whether you are towing, commuting, or hitting washboard trails.

This is a direct-fit front shock for 2014–2026 Ram 2500 4WD only. Length, mounts, and valving are matched to this chassis so you keep a factory-style install with off-road-level heat management. The remote reservoir adds oil volume and nitrogen capacity. That extra fluid sheds heat faster than a body-only shock and helps prevent fade on long descents, repeated whoops, and heavy-duty work. The reservoir hose uses a 360-degree swivel banjo fitting so you can clock the line cleanly against the frame without fighting a fixed hose.

Inside, Bilstein’s 46mm monotube design uses a large piston and velocity-sensitive digressive valving tuned for this Ram application. Small, sharp hits are absorbed without a harsh slap. Bigger compressions get the extra damping a lifted 3/4-ton needs to stay composed. Gas-pressure monotube construction also resists aeration, so performance stays consistent instead of going mushy after a few miles of rough road.

The body is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. Upper mount is a stem. Lower mount is an eye (14.1 mm). Stroke is 7.64 inches (collapsed 15.04 inches / extended 22.68 inches). Damping is non-adjustable. Sold individually. Two shocks are required for the front axle.
