The Borgeson 000981 is a heavy duty telescopic steel steering shaft that replaces the factory column-to-gearbox shaft. Borgeson lists it for 1992-1996 Ford F-150, F-250 and F-350 plus the 1997 F-350, which covers those 7.3L Powerstroke trucks.
Worn factory shafts and rag joints add play that makes the truck wander. The Borgeson shaft uses a billet universal joint and a vibration reducer joint to tighten up steering feel.

Vehicle Fitment & Technical Installation Notes
- Fitment: 1994-1996 Ford F-250 and F-350 and the 1997 F-350 with the 7.3L OBS Powerstroke, 2WD and 4WD. It does not fit the 1997 F-250 HD.
- Installation Tip: Lock the column with the wheels centered before removal. On stock height trucks the shaft may need trimming. Recheck the set screws and lock nuts after about 100 miles.
