Built specifically for high-output street, competition, and heavy airflow configurations, the Colt Cams Stage 4 "Big Stick" (Part # C-346-S-S4) is engineered to maximize cylinder filling and high-RPM power on 12-valve, 24-valve, and Common Rail 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins diesels.
While the Stage 3 Big Stick is tailored for daily driving and towing, the Stage 4 profile is purpose-built to drive large single turbos, compound turbo setups, and high-flow cylinder heads. With 218° of exhaust duration and an aggressive 0.323" exhaust lift, this cam evacuates massive amounts of high-pressure exhaust gas to spool stubborn chargers quickly and sustain clean, pulling power all the way to 4,400 RPM. Despite its aggressive high-performance profile, the Stage 4 maintains drop-in valve-to-piston clearances on standard factory-depth configurations.

⚠️ Installation, Valvetrain & Warranty Requirements
Mandatory Tappet Replacement: Colt Cams requires brand-new tappets/lifters to be installed alongside this camshaft to validate their 1-year limited warranty. Reusing old, grooved tappets will ruin new cam lobes during break-in. Select a new set (such as SBI VL554 or Colt Tappets) when adding to cart.
Heavy-Duty Valvetrain Recommended: Due to the elevated 0.323" exhaust lift and 4,400 RPM capability, heavy-duty valve springs (such as 103 lb or 110 lb springs) and heavy-duty pushrods are strongly recommended to prevent valve float under boost.
Support Hardware: Pair with a Colt Cams Cam Gear Retainer and a fresh set of cam bearings to ensure proper axial thrust control and journal oiling.
