The factory downpipe on a 1998.5-2002 Dodge 5.9L seals to the stock HY35, not to an HX40 housing, so the new turbo leaks at the outlet and the 4-inch system never gets a sealed inlet. Mount the HX40 with Diamond Eye 221040, a 4-inch aluminized direct pipe for that housing.

• Part number: Choose Diamond Eye 221040 for the pipe alone. Choose 221043 if you also need the VC400HX40 V-band clamp with that pipe.
