Fleece Performance SureFlo® Performance Fuel Tank Sending Unit – FPE-SF-CUMM-9197 1991-1997 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins
Upgrade your 1st Gen or early 2nd Gen Cummins fuel system with the Fleece Performance SureFlo® Sending Unit. This is the proper solution for running an aftermarket external lift pump (FASS, AirDog, etc.) without cutting or drilling your tank.
The SureFlo replaces the factory sending unit and uses a sump-style bucket with one-way check valves at the bottom of the tank. This design keeps fuel available to your lift pump even when the tank is low, completely eliminating the common ¼-tank starvation issues that plague stock and draw-straw setups.
Key Features:
- Direct OEM-style fitment — no tank modification required
- Compatible with external lift pumps up to 220 GPH
- New updated fuel level electronics and float for accurate gauge readings
- Heavy-duty billet aluminum top cap
- Universal -8 AN ports for clean, professional custom fuel line plumbing
- Includes new tank seal, adaptation pigtail, and necessary fittings
Fitment:
- 1991–1997 Dodge Ram with 5.9L 12-valve Cummins
- Does not illuminate the low fuel dash light. Verify your original Mopar sending unit part number for proper fitment.
- USE ON 1989/1990 MODEL YEAR TRUCKS: This sending unit will work on MY 1989 and 1990 trucks that have a tank swap to a 1991-1997 newer tank.
- This product has been tested to work with aftermarket lift pumps including AirDog !!-5G with flow rates up to 220 GPH and Fass with flow rates up to 200 GPH.
