The Edge Evolution CTS3 85401-101 is the California edition of the Powerstroke CTS3. It carries a CARB executive order, so it can be sold and used on emissions-controlled vehicles in all 50 states. It is the legal version of the 85400-100.
It plugs into the OBD-II port, loads an Edge calibration, and stays on the dash as a 5-inch touchscreen. Power levels cover economy, tow, and performance. On a stock truck the top file is about 80 hp and 180 lb-ft on a 1994–1997 7.3, 100 hp and 200 lb-ft on a 1999–2003 7.3, 100 hp and 200 lb-ft on a 6.0 or 6.4, 110 hp and 265 lb-ft on a 2011–2014 6.7, 110 hp and 315 lb-ft on a 2015–2016 6.7, and 120 hp and 220 lb-ft on a 2017–2019 6.7. The screen shows boost, EGT, transmission temperature, and regen status, and it can read and clear codes. Updates are over Wi-Fi. CARB EO D-802-13 is on file, with D-802-5 covering 2011–2019 50-state use.
These files do not delete or disable emissions equipment. A truck with the DPF or EGR removed will not take them.
Fitment
- 1994.5–2003 7.3L Powerstroke
- 2003–2007 6.0L Powerstroke
- 2008–2010 6.4L Powerstroke
- 2011–2019 6.7L Powerstroke
- F-250 and F-350 Super Duty
- 5-inch touchscreen, OBD-II
- CARB-compliant calibrations
- Does not support emissions deletes
Gains are on a stock emissions truck. The executive order is the point of this part number. A deleted truck still cannot run it.
