The Ford MC3Z-9E498-A is the OE wastegate vacuum line set for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces the red and green lines between the wastegate solenoid and the actuator. It supersedes F81Z-9E498-DA.

Those lines harden and crack. A split line is a common reason the wastegate will not hold or will not open, which shows up as low boost or a truck that spikes. These are the Ford lines, shaped for the factory routing. The solenoid often has to come off to get the new ends on. The actuator and the solenoid are not included.

It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 Super Duty and Excursion trucks with a wastegated GTP38. Early 1999 and OBS trucks do not have this wastegate, and a 1999 owner reported this set would not route on that truck.

If the lines are new and boost is still wrong, the actuator can is the next part. That is Garrett 452603-0022.
