The FASS SK5501 is a return-style fuel tank sump. One hole in the bottom of the tank. The tank does not have to come down. Suction and return are both 1/2-inch NPT, so the return ties to the sump instead of the filler neck.

The bowl is 6061 aluminum and sits at the low point. It holds a reserve when the tank is near empty, or under hard braking and acceleration. That is the fix for a starve around a quarter tank. The pump is not in this box. It fits a Ford, a GM, or a Ram diesel tank.

It fits a universal diesel fuel tank.

Drain the tank before you drill. Seal the bowl. Keep the suction fitting off the bottom so it does not suck debris.
