The Ford 1831214-C1 is the OE compressor housing outlet clamp for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It locks the charge-air boot to the turbo compressor outlet.
This is the clamp that has to hold when the truck is under boost. A stretched or cracked original lets the boot walk off the housing, which dumps boost and can split the hose. The Ford clamp is a direct replacement and is sold individually. It matches the factory V-band profile, so it seats on a stock GTP38 compressor housing without adapters.
It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 Super Duty 7.3 trucks. Early 1999 trucks use a different turbo outlet.
Fitment
- 1999.5–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
- Compressor housing outlet
- Genuine Ford 1831214-C1
- Sold individually
- Does not fit early 1999
Replace it with the boot. A new hose on a worn clamp will still blow off.
