The Dorman 679-005 is a bellowed up-pipe kit for a 1999.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It replaces the factory pipes and the donut gaskets that leak between the up-pipes and the collector.

The pipes are stainless tubing with a flex bellows at the flange, so heat expansion does not crush the seal. The Y-connector is cast iron. The kit includes both up-pipes, the collector, four flanges, two gaskets, and the bolts and nuts. No welding. It replaces Ford F4TZ-6K854-C, F81Z-6K854-EA, F81Z-6K854-FA, and F81Z-6N632-AA.

It fits late-1999.5 through 2003 Super Duty 7.3 trucks with the large-case turbo. It will not fit an early 1999 small-case turbo unless that turbo has already been swapped to a late housing.

A soot stain on the firewall is usually this joint. Replace both sides. A new donut on a cracked pipe will still leak.
