The Driven Diesel DD-58-SHUTOFF (DD-5/8-ShutOff) is an inline fuel line shut-off valve kit designed for high-flow aftermarket diesel fuel systems using 5/8" (-10) Push-Lok hose. It installs between the fuel tank or sump and the pre-pump fuel filter, featuring a heavy-duty brass ball valve, two 5/8" push-lock hose barb adapters, and hose clamps. Driven Diesel engineers it with full-port flow paths to ensure zero fuel restriction to high-performance fuel pumps.
Continuous fuel siphoning and major diesel spills all over your hands and shop floor during routine fuel filter changes are what this valve prevents. On frame-mounted fuel pump and filter systems, fuel gravity-feeds and siphons out of the tank the moment a pre-filter spin-on cartridge is removed. By turning the manual quarter-turn ball valve shut, servicing pre-pump filters becomes a clean, quick job without needing to pinch or disconnect fuel lines. Apply a diesel-rated thread sealant or PTFE tape to the tapered pipe threads before threading the Push-Lok barb fittings into the ball valve body. Cut the 5/8" fuel hose cleanly and square, and push the hose fully over all barbs before securing the included clamps. Always ensure the valve lever is switched back to the fully open position before keying the ignition or priming the fuel pump to avoid pump cavitation.
