The Garrett 848212-5001S is a new, not remanufactured, GT3788VA variable geometry turbocharger built as a direct replacement for the factory turbo on the 2004.5–2010 6.6L Duramax. Its center housing adds three cobalt pins to reduce distortion and improve vane actuation.

Tech & Installation Notes
- LLY Trucks: 2004.5–2005 LLY trucks need the Garrett 771864-0001 vane position sensor adapter, sold separately. LBZ and LMM trucks do not.
- Gaskets: Mounting gaskets are not included. Use the Alliant AP0162 turbo installation kit.

Mileage Limit: Unlimited mileage during that 1-year coverage window when installed in standard passenger or light-duty truck applications.
Coverage Scope: Covers defects in materials and factory workmanship under normal operating conditions.
Standard Exclusions: Does not cover failures caused by oil starvation, contaminated oil, foreign object damage (FOD), improper installation, or non-stock tuning/overspeed conditions.
