1994-2003 7.3L Powerstroke Hydra Chip Gauge Pod Switch

Thumbnail Filmstrip of 1994-2003 7.3L Powerstroke Hydra Chip Gauge Pod Switch Images

The PHP Hydra gauge-pod switch is a replacement selector for a Hydra chip on a 1994.5–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It takes the place of the square dash switch and fits a standard 2 1/16-inch gauge pod, so the two-digit display sits with the gauges instead of being taped to the column.

It is the switch only. The chip stays in the PCM. You still get the same 17 positions: bypass, no-start, and the 15 tune slots. The pod mount puts the readout in your line of sight, which matters when you are changing tunes on the road. It fills an empty gauge hole in a pillar pod or an A-pillar mount.

It fits any 1994.5–2003 7.3 that already has a PHP Hydra. It does not include the chip, the ribbon cable, or the pod.

    Fitment

    • PHP Hydra chip, already installed
    • 1994.5–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
    • 2 1/16-inch gauge pod
    • Switch only
    • Chip, cable, and pod not included
    • Does not fit a TS knob or an Edge Revolver switch

Use it when the stock Hydra switch is in the way, or when you want the tune number next to the boost gauge.

Q Gerald Baudat • 06/10/2025, 6:11:48 PM On the gauge pod mount for hydra switch, 7.3l powerstroke, the switch came unglued from the pod mount and i am unable to switch tunes. Does the front face of the pod mount snap apart or is it glued? I have attempted to take it off but i dont want to apply so much force that i break it.

Q Aaron Hall • 02/12/2026, 11:33:19 PM Is there a way to find out what the 00 through 05 tunes are? I recently purchased a truck and I can assume that 01 is stock. 02? 03 low idle, 04 is high idle, 05 is anti theft. What is 00 and 02? I have this controller in my dash. 7.3 Powerstroke Hydra Chip Gauge Pod Switch SKU: phphydpd-ffd Thank you

The core of the body is 3d printed. It fits pretty good but the bezel is loose and the entire pod is not stable in the pillar. I would buy again, but it is disappointing when an $80 part is in need of fixing up to have it stay put.
