The TS Performance 6-position chip is a PCM-mounted tuner for the 1994.5–2003 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke. It plugs into the PCM and uses a dash knob, so you can change power levels while you drive instead of pulling over to flash a new file.
It is not an OBD programmer, and it does not fit a 7.3 IDI. The chip is loaded for your PCM code, three letters and one number on the PCM itself. A typical set is stock, high idle at about 1,200 rpm, a tow file, a daily file, and the higher street and extreme settings, up to about 140 hp on stock injectors. The exact six positions depend on year and transmission. Stock has to stay in the first position. Larger injectors need a different calibration than the standard chip.
It works best on a stock or mildly modified truck: intake, exhaust, and a healthy transmission. Clean the PCM contacts before you seat it. A dirty port is the usual reason a freshly installed chip will not start.
Fitment
- 1994.5–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke
- F-250, F-350, and Excursion
- PCM chip with in-cab 6-position knob
- Stock-injector calibrations
- PCM code required
- Does not fit a 7.3 IDI
- Not for sale in California
Have the PCM code ready when you order. The wrong file will not run the truck.
