7.3 Powerstroke Hydra Chip Gauge Pod Switch SKU: phphydpd-ffd

This is a nice switch, that actually works. It switches easily between tunes. I installed it to replace the tempermental standard rectangular switch that came with the Hydra. The install was easy as I already had a hole in the dash from the previous tuner switch (which was also circular). You will have to pull the PCM to install the wiring into the chip. If there was a gender mender thing, you would be able to just connect it to the existing wire from the original rectangular switch.

This thing is great. I replaced mine to get a cleaner look going for my truck. It fit snug in the gauge pod and works perfect.

The gauge doesn't fit snug at all in the pod holder and pops out all the time or turns. The numbers are easy to see at night, impossible to see during the day without shielding light with your hands. Usually you have to click the up or down buttons 5 or 6 times before it will move 1 number. Seems like a couple dollar part, it kinda works, definitely not worth 75 bucks.

The core of the body is 3d printed. It fits pretty good but the bezel is loose and the entire pod is not stable in the pillar. I would buy again, but it is disappointing when an $80 part is in need of fixing up to have it stay put.

I really like how this fits in a gauge pod! Works perfect. Glad I spent the extra. Do wish it had a light on the buttons or somehow illuminate them because you can't see them when night driving!
