The Irate Diesel RRSD is a fuel bowl delete regulated return fuel system engineered for 1999–2003 7.3 Powerstroke Super Duty trucks. It eliminates the restrictive factory engine valley fuel filter bowl and converts the stock "dead-headed" fuel rails into a continuous-flow, regulated return loop. Irate Diesel crafts the kit with CNC-bent 304 stainless steel hard lines, high-grade Parker JIC fittings, a premium Fuelab bypass fuel pressure regulator, and mounting hardware engineered with updated routing to ensure clearance around aftermarket drop-in and T4 turbocharger setups.

Chronic fuel bowl seal leaks, rough idle, aerated fuel damaging injector barrels, and severe pressure drop on the rear cylinders (particularly cylinder #8) under heavy throttle are what this system cures. By feeding pressurized diesel to both cylinder heads and returning aerated, heated fuel through the Fuelab regulator back to the tank, fuel rails stay consistently pressurized with clean, air-free fuel. Because this kit eliminates the factory fuel filter housing entirely, a suitable post-pump filtration setup (such as a frame-mounted AirDog, FASS, or custom 2-micron post-pump filter base) is required. It is the complete regulated return fuel bowl delete plumbing and regulator kit only; external fuel pump and filter systems are sold separately.

It fits 1999–2003 7.3 Powerstroke Ford Super Duty trucks and Excursions equipped with standard single HPOP setups; standard line bending will not clear Gen 3 or vertically stacked dual HPOP systems without custom line routing.

Ensure secondary post-pump fuel filtration is installed before plumbing the system to prevent debris from reaching the injectors. Relieve system pressure, disconnect both vehicle batteries, and completely remove the factory fuel filter bowl, cleaning the engine valley thoroughly of residual oil, dirt, and diesel. Hand-thread all stainless hard line JIC nuts loosely onto the cylinder head ports and regulator block to check alignment and clearance around the HPOP lines and wiring harness before torquing any fitting to final specification. Cycle the ignition key several times to purge air through the return line and adjust the Fuelab regulator set screw to 60–65 PSI while checking all fittings for leaks.
