PPE Forged XR Tie Rods — LML / L5P Duramax Part #158032511

Upgrade the weakest link in your HD steering. Factory LML and L5P tie rods bend, break, and wear out at the plastic ball-joint seats—especially with bigger tires, extra power, towing, or off-road use. PPE Forged XR Tie Rods replace that weak stock hardware with extreme-duty forged steel built for Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD trucks.

A 32 mm outer ball stud (about 35% larger than stock) and an extra-wide ball-joint neck add strength and stability while keeping the factory articulation angle. The 1.6-inch forged outer body is roughly 50% larger than OEM and wraps a 3/4-inch inner threaded shaft so the assembly resists bending and deformation under load. Siliconized rubber boots protect the joints, and an integrated zerk fitting on the outer cap makes service simple. Each rod ships pre-greased, so no extra grease is required at install.

The outer ends can be trimmed up to 1 inch for custom steering setups or aftermarket spindles with a relocated tie-rod perch. An alignment is recommended after installation.
