The S&B Filters 81-1004 is a complete premium silicone cab bushing and body mount replacement kit engineered specifically for 1999–2003 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty Regular Cab and Extended Cab (SuperCab) trucks. Unlike factory yellow micro-cellular foam mounts that break down from oil exposure, moisture, and road salts, or harsh polyurethane alternatives that transmit road chatter and squeak, S&B utilizes a proprietary high-grade silicone formulation. This 6-mount kit includes upper and lower silicone isolators, corrosion-resistant coated steel retaining cups with keyed frame tabs, and a full set of new OEM-grade replacement body mount bolts to restore factory cab-to-bed alignment and ride isolation.

Loud clunking, rattling, and popping under the floorboards over bumps, harsh road vibrations transmitting into the cab, misaligned body lines between the cab and truck bed, sagging doors rubbing against frame pillars, and crumbling factory foam mounts rotting into dust are what this kit cures. Original equipment Ford foam bushings degrade and compress over years of service, eventually collapsing until steel washers smash metal-on-metal directly into frame brackets. S&B's silicone isolators remain soft and pliable across extreme temperature swings without softening from oil saturation, absorbing harsh vibrations while maintaining the structural firmness needed to keep the cab squarely mounted to the chassis. It is a complete 6-mount cab isolator, cup, and bolt kit specifically configured for Regular Cab and SuperCab trucks; Crew Cab applications require part number 81-1005.

Support the vehicle on a level, solid surface and service one side of the cab at a time while leaving the opposite side finger-tight to prevent the cab from shifting off-center on the frame rails. Pull back interior carpeting and floor trim to access the upper bolt heads inside the cab. Because factory body bolts are heavily treated with factory thread-locking compound, apply penetrating oil from above and below, using hand tools or gentle heat on the lower retaining cage nut/sleeve if necessary rather than high-torque impacts that can spin caged nuts inside the floor channel. Jack up the loosened side of the cab using a wide wooden block placed along the reinforced pinch weld or floor support, lift just enough to remove the collapsed OEM foam bushings and corroded steel shells, position the new S&B upper and lower silicone mounts with their corresponding keyed steel cups into the frame slots, and lower the cab back down. Install the included new OEM-grade bolts with medium-strength blue thread locker, and torque all fasteners in a crisscross sequence to factory specifications (60–70 ft-lbs).
