Unlike factory yellow cellular micro-cellular foam mounts that break down from ozone and fuel saturation, or harsh polyurethane bushings that transmit brutal road chatter, S&B utilizes a proprietary high-grade silicone formulation. The kit includes upper and lower silicone isolators along with heavy-duty corrosion-resistant coated steel cups and integrated hardware designed to outlast the life of the vehicle.

Harsh cab vibrations, loud clunking or popping under floorboards when hitting bumps, misaligned body lines between the truck bed and cab, sagging doors that rub against the cab frame, and crumbling factory foam bushings rotting into powder are what this kit solves. Original equipment Ford foam mounts degrade rapidly from oil exposure, moisture, and road salt, eventually collapsing until steel washers smash directly into frame brackets. S&B’s silicone construction remains soft and pliable across extreme temperature swings, isolating harsh highway vibrations while retaining structural firmness to keep the cab squarely aligned on the chassis. It is a complete silicone cab mount isolator and cup kit only; factory body mount bolts are typically reused, and bed-to-frame mounting hardware is sold separately.

Support the vehicle on a level, solid surface and loosen the cab mount bolts on one side of the truck at a time while leaving the opposing side finger-tight to prevent the cab from shifting off-center on the frame rails. Because factory body bolts are often secured with heavy thread locker and road grime, apply penetrating oil from above and below, using controlled hand tools or gentle heat on the lower retaining cage nut if necessary rather than high-torque impacts that can spin caged nuts inside the cab floor. Carefully jack up the loosened side of the cab using a wide wooden block spread across the rocker panel seam, lift just enough to remove the factory collapsed foam bushings and steel shells, position the new S&B upper and lower silicone mounts with their corresponding steel cups, and lower the cab back into place. Clean the bolt threads thoroughly, apply medium-strength blue thread-locking compound, and torque the cab bolts to factory specifications (approximately 60–70 ft-lbs).
