This Stage 3/4 dual-disc upgrade delivers serious torque capacity while maintaining smooth, daily-drivable engagement.

At the heart of the kit is South Bend’s proven hybrid organic/ceramic disc design. Organic friction material faces the flywheel and pressure plate for smooth, progressive engagement and excellent low-speed drivability. Ceramic buttons on the opposing faces provide superior grip and heat resistance under load. The 13" dual-disc setup offers significantly better heat dissipation and torque-holding capability than a single-disc clutch.

The 3250 lb. diaphragm-style pressure plate delivers strong clamping force with a surprisingly light pedal effort, making this clutch comfortable for daily driving and extended towing. Dampened, sprung-hub discs with a free-travel design (inspired by heavy-duty semi-truck clutches) help reduce gear rollover noise and drivetrain shock when the clutch is disengaged.

This -5K version includes the essential 1.375" (1-3/8") upgraded input shaft kit. The factory 1.25" shaft is a known weak point that can twist or break under high torque — this upgrade eliminates that risk and is highly recommended for any modified or towing 5.9 Cummins.
