The SCT Livewire Vision (part number 5015PWD) is a standalone in-cab touchscreen performance monitor and high-speed diagnostic data logger engineered for 1996 and newer OBD-II Ford gas and Powerstroke diesel vehicles. Featuring a 4-inch full-color touchscreen with an ambient light sensor, the 5015PWD displays critical engine vitals in real time without altering factory vehicle calibrations. SCT equips this unit with built-in Wi-Fi for wireless updates, real-time performance testing (0–60 mph, 1/4-mile, and braking tests), on-screen DTC scan/clear capabilities, high-speed playback support via SCT LiveLink software, and dedicated expansion ports for analog sensors (including EGT pyrometer kits) and an aftermarket backup camera.

Blind towing, unmonitored exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) threatening turbochargers, creeping transmission and oil temperatures under heavy hauling, unreadable check engine lights, and cluttered analog pillar gauge wiring are what this monitor eliminates. Traditional multi-gauge pods require tapping into engine bays, routing physical fluid and capillary lines through the firewall, and wiring separate light circuits. The Livewire Vision reads live electronic powertrain data—such as engine oil temp (EOT), engine coolant temp (ECT), high-pressure oil ICP/duty cycle, boost, and transmission temp—directly through the factory OBD-II port. It is a digital monitor, performance testing meter, and diagnostic data logger only; it does not tune, reprogram, flash, or hold tuning files.

It fits 1996 and newer OBD-II compliant Ford gas and Powerstroke diesel trucks, SUVs, and passenger vehicles.

Before mounting in the cab, power up the Livewire Vision and connect to a local 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to check for and install the latest firmware and vehicle PID definitions. Thoroughly clean the inside windshield mounting spot with an alcohol prep pad to guarantee maximum adhesion for the suction cup bracket against temperature fluctuations. Route the main OBD-II communication cable behind the lower dash and kick panels, keeping the wire harness secured away from the steering column, pedals, and emergency brake linkage. If tracking exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs) on pre-emissions platforms or trucks without factory exhaust temp PIDs (such as the 7.3L or 6.0L Powerstroke), wire an optional SCT analog EGT sensor kit into the cable’s analog input port and tap the thermocouple probe into the driver-side exhaust manifold upstream of the turbocharger.
