The XDP XD538 is an Xtra Cool replacement radiator for a 1999–2003 7.3 Powerstroke. It is a direct fit. The stock-style Mishimoto is R2171-AT. The all-aluminum performance radiator is MMRAD-F2D-99.

The core is about 29.75 by 26.5 by 2.25 inches, with 1-3/4-inch inlet and outlet. The transmission cooler uses 3/8-inch inverted-flare fittings. XDP builds the usual failure points heavier than the factory crimp tanks, and the core is a high-efficiency piece. The warranty is 2 years, unlimited miles. It uses the factory shroud and mounts.

It fits 1999–2003 Super Duty and Excursion trucks with the 7.3.

A split tank or a clogged core is what this replaces. Flush the system if the coolant is muddy. The fan blade is F81Z-8600-MA. The fan clutch is AU2Z-8A616-L.
