The Alliant Power AP0030 Fuel Injector Harness Connector is a brand-new, direct-fit replacement electrical connector body engineered specifically for 2003–2007 Ford Super Duty trucks, Excursions, and 2004–2010 E-Series vans equipped with the 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine (as well as 4.5L LCF and International Navistar VT365/VT275/MaxxForce 5 platforms). Designed to repair damaged, cracked, or heat-fatigued injector connector housings on the engine FICM sub-harness, this OEM-spec connector allows technicians to repin factory wiring terminals directly into a fresh housing, restoring firm mechanical retention and positive electrical continuity across the 48-volt injector open/close circuits.

    Quick Specs & Kit Inclusions

    • Application: Engine FICM wiring harness to G2.8 HEUI fuel injector connector housing repair
    • Material Construction: High-temperature, chemical- and oil-resistant automotive-grade polymer
    • Terminal Design: Direct repin architecture (retains existing factory harness wire lengths and crimped terminals without cutting or splicing)
    • Emissions Status: 50-state legal (direct replacement electrical maintenance component)
    • Direct Interchange Part Numbers: Alliant Power AP0030, Navistar 1843481C94, 1843481C95, 1845150C92, 1878284C91, Ford 4C3Z-9E527-AA
    • Warranty: Backed by Alliant Power’s standard 24-month, unlimited-mileage warranty
    • What's in the Box: (1) Genuine Alliant Power AP0030 Fuel Injector Harness Connector Housing with Secondary Terminal Lock

Problem Solved: Curing Broken Retention Clips, Intermittent 48V Drops & Cylinder Misfires

Underhood heat from the turbocharger, exhaust manifolds, and engine valley causes the factory plastic injector connector bodies on the 6.0L Powerstroke to turn brittle over time. During injector replacements, valve cover servicing, or oil rail maintenance, the connector retaining tabs and alignment ears routinely fracture or shatter. A loose or damaged connector body allows the terminal pins to back out under heavy engine vibration, resulting in intermittent high electrical resistance. This causes false FICM failure diagnostics, erratic injector spool valve actuation, rough cold idling, engine bucking under load, and diagnostic trouble codes P0261 through P0284 (Cylinder Contribution / Injector Circuit Low). The Alliant Power AP0030 permanently resolves these issues by renewing the protective connector shell and internal terminal locking mechanisms without the labor and expense of replacing the complete engine FICM harness.

    • 2003–2005 Ford Excursion 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel
    • 2004–2010 Ford E-Series Vans (E-350 / E-450) 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel
    • 2006–2010 Ford LCF (Low Cab Forward) 4.5L V6 Diesel
    • 2003–2007 International / Navistar VT365 & VT275 Engines
    • 2007–2010 International / Navistar MaxxForce 5 Engines

Safety & Power Cutoff: Turn off the ignition, engage the parking brake, and disconnect both negative battery cables. Allow the engine valley and cooling components to fully cool down. Access & Area Preparation: Remove intake ducting, upper intercooler (CAC) tubes, and wire loom brackets to gain direct line-of-sight access to the rocker arm carrier injector pass-through holes. Blow away all loose sand, grit, and oil residue around the connector with compressed air. Disconnection & Extraction: Use a dedicated connector release tool (such as Alliant Power AP0017) to depress the connector locking ears through the rocker carrier bore and release the plug from the fuel injector body. Secondary Lock Removal: Use a fine terminal pick to gently pry and slide the colored secondary wedge lock forward out of the front face of the damaged connector body. Terminal Depinning: Record or photograph the exact wire color layout and corresponding pin locations (1, 2, 3, and 4) prior to terminal removal. Insert the terminal release pick into the front cavity to release the plastic locking tang holding each female pin terminal. Gently withdraw the wire from the rear of the connector body. (Do not cut or snip the factory wires). Cleaning & Inspection: Inspect each female pin terminal for spreading, corrosion, or engine oil contamination. Clean thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner and gently tighten loose female terminal leaves if needed. Insertion into AP0030 Housing: Slide the original wired terminals one by one into their matching cavities in the new Alliant Power AP0030 connector body until a distinct click is heard and felt. Perform a gentle push-pull test on each individual wire to ensure positive mechanical engagement. Lock Engagement & Testing: Press the secondary wedge lock squarely into the face of the connector until flush. Reconnect the repaired harness plug to the injector body until the spring-steel bail snaps into place. Reconnect battery cables, clear stored DTCs, and perform an on-demand KOEO injector buzz test with a diagnostic scan tool to confirm uninterrupted 48V continuity.
