The factory LB7 and LLY intercooler heat-soaks on a grade and the end tanks are the part that cracks when boost goes up. Upgrade with the CSF 7103. Cast aluminum tanks and a bar-and-plate core replace the tube-and-fin unit on 2001-2005 HD trucks.
- Build: Heavy-duty bar-and-plate core with cast aluminum end tanks and TIG-welded construction. It uses the factory inlet and outlet locations.
- Test: CSF pressure-tests this bar-and-plate core at 120 psi and finishes the exterior in thermal-rejection powder coat.
- Part number: CSF 7103 crosses OEM 19258551 and 15020380.
- Fitment: 2001-2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500, and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500, with the 6.6L Duramax.
- Does not fit: 2006-up Duramax trucks. The tube-and-fin replacement for these same years is CSF 6007.
