So my truck is a 95. However at 180k someone put a reman block in it with a reman HPOP. My serial number is stamped 286986 I believe. That means I dont NEED antidrainback? Will it hurt to have it?

By the serial provided, this would need a 1996-2003 model HPOP. If you install a 94-95 hpop on a 96-03 engine, it will not hurt, no affect on performance.

So I ordered newer one. Turns out they installed older hpop on newer block. Yes, both the block and the HPOP have anti drain back valves. So if I service the block valve, I should be fine installing the newer style HPOP only have antidrain valve in the reman block? I know common sense agrees with what I am asking, but I am nervous to make assumptions with this kind of money involved.

I would skip Diesel Site products. I had a leak on the adrenaline after 18 months. Full force advised Diesel Site usually only supplied O rings as the warranty. If I wanted to rebuild my own HPOP, I would not have bought the adrenaline. Robert at Full Force is rock solid and took care of me, but Jennifer at Diesel Site ( the part supplier)tried to send the core back to me. I told her the HPOP was warrantied complete as it should be. She then rips me up one side and down the other explaining her vague warranty only covers orings and I should have rebuilt it myself. She goes on to explain that all of this is listed out on their site. I looked up their site see image below.
