The Dieselsite CCV90 is a heavy-duty 90-degree crankcase ventilation (CCV) tube connector engineered for 1994–2003 7.3 Powerstroke diesel engines. Designed as an upgraded, heat-resistant molded elbow, it connects the driver-side valve cover breather assembly ("doghouse") to the crankcase vent tube routing hose. Dieselsite manufactures this elbow from oil-impervious, high-temperature composite elastomer to withstand hot crankcase blow-by gasses and continuous engine bay heat without degrading.
Brittle, oil-soaked factory rubber boots splitting open, oil vapor sweating across the driver-side valve cover, unmetered air entering the turbo inlet tract, and crankcase fumes leaking into the engine bay are what this connector solves. Over years of thermal cycling, the stock 90-degree molded rubber elbow softens, swells from hot oil saturation, and tears at the clamp points. Installing the Dieselsite CCV90 restores a tight, leak-free connection between the valve cover vent adapter and the ventilation line, preventing vacuum leaks and oily film buildup across surrounding engine components. It is the molded 90-degree CCV elbow connector only; the valve cover breather doghouse, internal O-rings, and hose clamps are sold separately.
It fits 1994–2003 7.3 Powerstroke Ford Super Duty trucks, OBS F-Series, Excursions, and E-Series vans equipped with the factory valve cover breather doghouse.
Fitment
- 1994–1997 Ford F-250 / F-350 OBS 7.3L Powerstroke
- 1999–2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty 7.3L Powerstroke
- 1999–2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty 7.3L Powerstroke
- 1999–2003 Ford F-450 / F-550 Super Duty 7.3L Powerstroke
- 2000–2003 Ford Excursion 7.3L Powerstroke
- 1994–2003 Ford E-Series Vans 7.3L Powerstroke
- Navistar T444E diesel engines
- Oil-impermeable, high-temperature molded elastomer construction
- Direct replacement for rotted, swollen, or cracked factory rubber elbows
- Maintains leak-free seal on driver-side valve cover breather outlet
- Works with factory CCV routing or aftermarket CCV reroute hose kits
- Molded 90-degree elbow connector only
Loosen the retaining clamps and inspect the aluminum or plastic spigot on the valve cover doghouse breather for burrs, cracks, or heavy sludge buildup before installing the new boot. Clean all residual oil and road grime off the mounting spigot with a lint-free rag and isopropyl alcohol to ensure the new elbow will not slide under vibration. Slide the elbow firmly over the breather tube outlet until fully seated against the stop, position standard worm-gear or spring-tension hose clamps evenly over the sealing barbs, and tighten securely without overtightening to prevent cutting into the elastomer wall.
