The Ford F6TZ-6582-BB is a genuine OEM driver-side (left-hand) stamped steel valve cover engineered for 1994–2003 7.3 Powerstroke diesel engines. Manufactured to precise factory specifications, this heavy-gauge steel cover provides the factory sealing perimeter for the left bank cylinder head while housing the integrated driver-side crankcase depression regulator (CDR) / crankcase ventilation (CCV) port and baffling. Ford finishes the exterior with an oil- and rust-resistant factory coating to withstand demanding under-hood conditions.
Cracked or warped perimeter flanges from overtightened bolts, persistent oil weeping past the valve cover gasket, road corrosion pinholes, and stripped bracket mounts are what this valve cover solves. Over decades of service and repeated valve cover removals for injector or glow plug maintenance, thin stamped steel covers can distort around the bolt holes, preventing the rubber valve cover gasket from establishing a flat, uniform seal. In addition, clogged or oil-sludged internal crankcase breather baffles can restrict crankcase ventilation, pushing oil into the intake tract or out of engine seals. Replacing a damaged cover with a brand-new genuine Ford unit restores flat deck clamping and dependable oil containment across the valvetrain. It is the bare driver-side valve cover only; the valve cover gasket, mounting hardware, CCV doghouse adapter, and passenger-side valve cover are sold separately.
It fits the driver-side (left-hand) cylinder head on all 1994–2003 7.3 Powerstroke Ford Super Duty trucks, OBS F-Series, Excursions, and E-Series vans.

- Heavy-gauge stamped steel construction with anti-corrosion finish
- Features driver-side CCV / crankcase ventilation mounting port and internal baffling
- Driver-side (left-hand) bare valve cover only
Transfer the crankcase ventilation (CCV) doghouse adapter and inspect its internal O-rings, replacing brittle seals to avoid vacuum and oil leaks. Clean the cast iron cylinder head mating surface completely free of oil, dirt, and old sealant residue before positioning the valve cover gasket. Install the gasket completely dry—never use RTV silicone on standard 7.3 silicone valve cover gaskets. Position the cover squarely over the gasket and torque the perimeter retaining bolts in a crisscross sequence to the factory specification of 96–100 in-lbs (approximately 8 ft-lbs); do not overtighten, as excessive torque will warp the stamped steel flange and pinch the gasket.
