DPC F4RMDLS Low Stall Medium Duty Triple Disc Torque Converter
Upgrade your 1994-2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke with the Diesel Performance Converters (DPC) F4RMDLS Low Stall Medium Duty Triple Disc Torque Converter. Built for daily drivers, tow rigs, and mildly modified trucks under 500 horsepower, this converter delivers stronger lock-up, improved power delivery, and greater reliability than a stock unit.
The low-stall design (approximately 1800 RPM) gets the converter into the 7.3’s powerband sooner than the factory stall speed, improving throttle response, towing performance, and overall drivability—especially under load. What's the difference between low stall and stock stall,my truck is a 97 7.3 powerstroke running 450 hp rebuild transmission and looking for good option

Low stall simply means it has a lower stall RPM. It is going to engage quicker. A lower stall speed is usually more efficient if your driving in town a lot with the torque converter unlocked.

My old torque converter had a leak, heard good things about DPC and decided to give them a try and was not disappointed. The torque converter used to unlock with any acceleration and any load, now the truck stays in gear even as speed drops and allows for boost to build up. Transmission is STOCK as well as COOLING, the trucks current setup is 180/0 injectors and PHP Hydra with FFD box tuning. awesome set up for a daily driver. Massive thanks to Full Force Diesel for quality parts and customer service!!!
