7.3 Powerstroke High Current | Voltage IDM DTC HFHCIDM

In addition to our normal rebuild process, the DTC High-Voltage High-Current units get two additional tweaks. The first step increases the output voltage to the injectors from 110 volts to 140 volts. The second step increases the current output by about 20%. This activates the injector quicker, holds it on (poppet valve open) more firmly, and keeps it on just a bit longer. The result is snappier acceleration and a more responsive truck.

After the rebuilding and modifying is done, we run each IDM through a 20 point test on the test bench, and then we run it continuously for 30 minutes at 3000 RPM and 3.0 milliseconds of injector pulse width which is longer and harder than you could ever run a truck in real life. When it passes this test, then it is ready to sell.

DTC been doing the high-voltage mod since 2004, and invented the high-current mod in 2008, and haven't seen any negative side effects to either the injectors or the IDM in this time.

Note: If you are seeing a P1298 soft trouble code after installing IDM, this is completely normal for an upgraded IDM and will not cause any issues.

Note: We do not test your core upon receiving.

This idm is amazing, I notice a difference with acceleration and overall fuel economy, and the best part is this is a bit cheaper than an OEM replacement from O’ Reilly’s. I will always stick with full force when I can for parts, they never let me down and have some of the best customer service out there!

i purchased this for my 2001 7.3 power stroke, along with the Atlas electronic boost fooler. the turn around was very quick. i sent my core in first and had my new IDM in less than a week. the boost fooler was so simple to install. literally maybe 30 second. between the 2 parts my truck has woke up. no more check engine light when passing while haling my 18' enclosed trailer.

I really got some performance increase with this IDM. I bought my OBS truck new and that's a long time to remember but I really think it runs a better now than when it was new.Very happy with the product and will buy another for my F250 when needed.
    worked great

My 7.3L has over 500k miles, had been idling really rough but pulled fine. My mileage was slowly decreasing over time. My cruise control would drop out while I was in a headwind or pulling a load up an incline. Finally, it was this last symptom that led me to the FICM. This new module brought everything back in line. Idles smooth, accelerates with a load like a bat outta hell. I'm back to the old days when I had to remember to keep my foot light on the throttle.
