Early 99 7.3 Powerstroke Bellowed Up Pipes
This Dieselsite (now in 409 Stainless Steel) up-pipe kit was designed to replace the poorly designed OEM standard equipment up-pipes and donut gaskets that typically leak. This design allows for expansion and contraction without stressing the actual gasket and is a direct replacement for all Early 1999 (1/98 thru 11/98) Ford 7.3L with no modifications needed. All gaskets, bolts and hardware are included.NOTE: You will reuse OEM y-pipe collector. New Gaskets are supplied.

Will the original collector on the E99 work with these up pipes and do they need donut gaskets?

It comes with seals the donut gaskets aren't needed. They are also designed to use your factory collector

looking at the top flange is it welded to the pipe? Doesn’t look like it.if not how dose this eliminate the need for donut gaskets? It seems to me the gasket is still needed. And you supply the donut gas agent.but state the gasket is no longer needed???

Manifold to up-pipe connection is metal to metal and a donut gasket is not used anymore. Up-pipe to collector, it uses the donut style gaskets that are included. This design allows for expansion and contraction without stressing the actual gasket preventing future failures.

Seems to be harder to find performance upgrade parts for the early 99 7.3 Powerstroke engines, but they do have them and they worked excellent and installation was a perfect fit. This is a must for all 7.3 engines to correct factory failure permanently.
