Seal up your 6.0L high-pressure oil system with genuine Ford parts.
The Ford 5C3Z-9G804-C High Pressure Oil Pump O-Ring Seal Kit contains the genuine Ford seals used when servicing the high-pressure oil pump (HPOP) on the 6.0L Powerstroke. Because the 6.0L uses high-pressure engine oil to fire its injectors, every seal in this system matters. Even a small leak can keep the engine from building the pressure it needs to start and run properly.
Why genuine Ford seals.
High-pressure oil seals must hold extreme pressure while enduring constant heat cycling. Genuine Ford seals are made to factory specifications for correct size, material and durability, so the repair holds up.
Key Features
- Genuine Ford OEM seal kit
- Factory-correct O-ring sizes and materials
- Seals the high-pressure oil pump connections
- Ideal for HPOP service, replacement or leak repair
- Fits 2004.5–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Super Duty and 2005–2010 E-Series vans
What Problem Does This Solve?
- Hard starts and no-starts, especially when hot. Leaks in the high-pressure oil system are a well-known cause of 6.0L hard starts. When seals leak, the system can't build enough pressure to fire the injectors, and the problem is often worse when the engine is hot.
- Loss of high-pressure oil. Worn or hardened O-rings let high-pressure oil escape internally, reducing the pressure available to the injectors and causing poor running.
- Reusing old seals during repairs. Any time the HPOP or its connections are disturbed, old seals can fail to reseal. Installing new genuine Ford seals helps prevent repeat repairs.
Installation Tip
When diagnosing a 6.0L hard start, check the whole high-pressure oil system, including the standpipes, dummy plugs and IPR valve seals, since leaks at any of these points cause similar symptoms. Many technicians replace these seals together while the system is apart.
Fitment
This kit fits 2004.5–2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Super Duty and 2005–2010 E-Series vans. Early 2003–2004 engines (and 2004 E-Series) use a different HPOP seal kit, Ford 3C3Z-9G804-AA, so confirm your engine build date before ordering.
