Gearhead Hydra Custom Tunes are professional, vehicle-specific tune files for the Power Hungry Performance (PHP) Hydra chip. Unlike generic “canned” tunes, every file is built around your exact combination of injectors, turbo, HPOP, transmission, tire size, and gear ratio. The result is cleaner power, better drivability, improved transmission behavior, and lower smoke across everyday driving, towing, and performance use.

Tune Lineup
- Heavy Tow – Maximum capacity towing with improved economy and controlled EGTs

- Tow/Economy – Approximately 40 hp over stock for lighter towing and daily driving
- Street Muscle – 80–100 hp over stock for strong street performance with manageable EGTs

Fitment
- 1994–1999 and 1999.5–2003 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke

- Not compatible with early 1999 trucks

How to Order
Provide the following with your order so the tunes can be written correctly:
- Injector size (stock or modified flow/nozzle)
- Turbo size
- HPOP modifications (if any)
- Transmission (stock or built)
- Tire size and gear ratio
- Any other relevant modifications
Tunes are delivered by email for you to load yourself, or you can send your Hydra chip in for programming.
Important Notes Custom tunes are non-refundable. Boost foolers must be removed. Proper supporting modifications (intake, exhaust, turbo health, etc.) are required for higher-power calibrations and clean smoke levels.

I have the basic 15 tunes offered by hydra. But I am about to put a updated remanufactured transmission with updated valve body what's up David clutch packs and gears planetary gears and a bunch of other stuff I don't know what I'm talking about but in the triple disc billet torque converter and I was reading that I need to change my tuning on the hydra to the modified valve body can you give me any thoughts on this or can you do the custom tuning around the new train and submission and I have 37-in tires 6 in lift SMB intake banks big head actuator wastegate actuator and a bank's 4-in exhaust any thoughts on this should be helpful thank you very much in advance Tim Martindale thank you

You'll need new tuning for the larger tires and new valve body. These tunes would work well for you. They will correct the new shifting firmness and adjust shift points for the larger tires.

After 2 years with the standard tunes for the stage 1.5 injectors I finally decided to try these before I went back to stock injectors. Defiantly worth it. I wish these were the standard tunes that the injectors came with. The engine runs much smoother and quieter and I'm getting way better fuel milage. I was initially very disappointed in the stage 1.5s lots of smoke, high egt's, and 11 mpg. Now I'm loving the injectors and my truck again!

Spent 3 days trying to start the truck after ordering these tunes for my new injectors then finally realized it was the tunes' fault. Went back and forth with Full Force and Gearhead for a month and the final answer I got was "Huh, that's weird. Good luck." Every time I switch to a Gearhead tune the check engine light and ABS light come on. Do yourself a favor and just get the PHP Titan Unlock.

Can't say enough about these guys. Great service ordered my tunes in the morning had them before the day was over. Had to have a couple shift points adjusted emailed them with what I wanted and had revisions the next day.

Can�t imagine not having it now. Went from stock to this and Stage 1 injectors. Computer MPG went from 13 to 23 at 65 on the freeway. Can�t wait to hand calculate it to see what it really is.
