Restore the legendary reliability of the pre-2019 Cummins valvetrain in your 2019–2024 Ram 6.7L with the Hamilton Cams Flat Tappet Conversion Kit.
In 2019, Ram switched the 6.7L Cummins to a hydraulic roller valvetrain. While common in gasoline engines, these roller lifters have proven far less durable in hard-working diesel trucks. Oil Recommendation Use a quality 15W-40 (or 5W-40 in extreme cold) with adequate zinc, phosphorus, and molybdenum. Preferred options include Schaeffer 700 Series 15W-40 or Valvoline Premium Blue 15W-40. Fleetguard Stratapore LF16035 is the recommended oil filter.
